Yields about 25 power balls. Per serving: 70 calories, 5 gm fat, 3 gm carb, 4 gm protein.

  • 1 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 3 scoops Chocolate Bariatric Advantage protein powder

  1. Mix ingredients together until dough-like consistency forms.
  2. Using a small tablespoon scoop, roll dough into balls, placing on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  3. Place in freezer for at least 3 hours.

Feel free to experiment with the recipe such as cutting down on regular peanut butter and replacing with PB2 (consistency of balls may change). Or use 1/2 almond butter and 1/2 reduced fat peanut butter. Try adding oats, coconut (if tolerated with band), chia or flax seeds, dark mini chocolate chips, or chopped nuts to also change texture and consistency.

I started at IBC in July as a registered dietitian at the Champaign location and I’m excited to have the blog up and running! I’ve had many patients tell me how much they used to enjoy having the monthly newsletter with recipes, weight loss tips, and general nutrition information. This page is taking the place of the newsletter. I hope you find it useful in your weight loss journey. Please feel free to comment and respond to posts or ask me questions on here!
