Sidney Rohrscheib, MD
Sid Rohrscheib grew up in Decatur, IL. He received both his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Illinois. He completed his internship and general surgery residency at The Ohio State University Hospitals. At the time, The Ohio State University Hospitals were one of the most recognized facilities for Bariatric surgery.
Dr. Rohrscheib is a Board Certified General Surgeon and is a member of both the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. He has 15 years Bariatric experience and has successfully performed nearly 600 gastric bypass procedures and over 2000 adjustable gastric banding procedures.
Dr. Rohrscheib is a general surgical provider for the Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton, IL. He built Olympian Surgical Suites in Champaign, IL, which is the only surgery center dedicated to weight loss surgery in Central Illinois. Dr. Rohrscheib and his wife Krista currently reside in Clinton with their two daughters. He is an avid University of Illinois sports fan and has a passion for restoring antique cars and flying.
